There are nude beaches, and then there are nudist resorts, like Laguna Del Sol. Whether you’re a seasoned nudist or a newbie, finding a safe, non-judgmental space to disrobe is important.

Laguna Del Sol welcomes everyone. Here’s what to know about this nudist retreat in Sacramento County.

Here, You Can Exist in Your Natural Form

One misconception about nudism is that it leads to spicier things. While that may be the case in private, Laguna Del Sol prohibits such behavior publicly.

Nudity isn’t mandatory, except the pool areas. If you feel more comfortable wearing a top or bottom anywhere else, that’s fine. When it comes to the resort’s etiquette, bring a towel to sit on, don’t star and be mindful of personal space.

On arrival, you’re given a tour. There’s Moonshadow Lounge, Lakeside Inn Restaurant and pool areas. For a sweat, go to the gym, or play a friendly game of tennis or volleyball. Kick back in one of the hammocks with a good book. For longer stays, rent rooms or cottages. There’s even space for tents, which get booked quickly, and RVs.

What Else is There to do?

The pressure to be “fit” is palpable, which makes this resort, such a breath of fresh air. Nobody cares about your age, body type or ethnicity.

A day pass gives you a taste of the nudism world. Go for a walk around Lake Archie, the largest water feature on the resort property. You can use pedal boats, kayaks and the rope swing.

Moonshadow Lounge offers themed dance parties on Friday and Saturday night. The DJ spins tunes from all eras, and there’s a full bar on site. The event calendar always has something exciting scheduled.
