June 1 marked the official start of Pride Month.

Celebrations, parties, and vigils will be happening all over the world to honor and recognize the contributions made by the LGBTQ community.

2019 is a special year for Pride Month as it marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which leaders call the tipping point for the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for LGBTQ rights in the United States.

Even better? WorldPride event will be held in the United States for the first time.

WorldPride will be held in New York City – the same place where the protest began.

Organizers are expecting an additional 3 million visitors to the city for this historic celebration that will include events, exhibits, rallies, a parade, and more.

Accommodations are filling up fast and some places are packed to capacity but Hotels.com, a leading online accommodation site, is hooking up 25 lucky people up.

Staff recently announced they are giving away 50 free hotel rooms for the nights of June 29 to June 30.

Winners will be chosen based on originality, creativity, and passion throughout the month of June.

Those looking to snag the free two-night-stay will have to tell Hotels.com why they want to celebrate Pride in NYC.

Entries will be evaluated based on originality, creativity, and passion.

Winners will be situated in one of five prime downtown areas locations, including SoHo and the East Village.
