There are many famous duos. Peanut butter and jelly, Ashanti and JaRule, and even grits and butter (don’t debate us on that one). But the city of Houston will soon bring together another great pairing, hip-hop and food.

For the first time, Green Light Events will host the OMG Food Fest, Houston’s own way of bringing together food and hip-hop in a festival form. If you’ve heard of this company before, they are also behind the annual Houston Food Fest.

This day-long event will be held on March 7 at Area 59 Outdoor Event Arena (6015 Hillcroft St) from 3 pm until 10 pm. Early bird tickets are going for $5 currently, but you will need to purchase any food separately.

Get ready for some of Houston’s most popular food staples like giant stuffed turkey legs, jalapeño popper stuffed wings, and boudin. There will also be shopping vendors, outdoor games and activities. The inside venue will have trap karaoke, bar service, and VIP tables. It’s literally a giant party.

The food vendor list has not been released, but you can get updates via the event’s Facebook page found here.
