Last week,  FUBU and Black Lives Matter Global Network made a special announcement while at ComplexCon in Long Beach, CA. The two pro-black entities revealed that they had come together for a special collaboration as part of BLM’s #WhatMatters2020 campaign.

The #WhatMatters2020 campaign, which has also partnered with Rock The Vote, has three primary goals: to engage our communities in the electoral process, to educate constituents about candidates and the issues that impact us most, and to promote voter registration among Generation Z, the Black community, and our allies. The campaign focuses on everything from racial injustice and police brutality to LGBTQIA+ rights, criminal justice reform, and Black immigration.

The partnership between BLM and FUBU included a fireside chat hosted by BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors with guest speakers Storm Reid, and FUBU co-founders J Alexander Martin and Keith Perrin. The collaboration also includes a collection of tees and hoodies featuring Black Lives Matter and FUBU’s slogans and ranging from $40-$60.

Hip hop veteran and longtime FUBU supporter, LL Cool J, was also on hand to check out the unveiling of the new BLM x FUBU collab.

Eve also stopped by to show her support.
