We can’t always get what we want. Although the magic words ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ might get you somewhere, sometimes there are cases when it is what it is.

Take this case for example. A passenger on US flight thought being rude to the flight attendant would get him what he wanted. Not pleased with his seat, he demanded a window seat from one of the flight attendants. Not giving into the passengers surly demeanor, the attendant walked away and came up with a clever idea to honor his request.

When the flight attendant returned, she had a piece of paper in her hand to satisfy the passenger’s request. It was a hand-drawn picture of a window with the sea and clouds. Hilarious and smooth. A fellow passenger was able to snap a picture of the drawing and posted it on social media, which has now gone viral with over 15,000 likes and close to 8,000 retweets.

Most people who travel often know that it’s possible for seats not to line up with windows on a plane. The airline has control over how many seats are inside the cabin and where they are positioned.

It’s amazing that this flight attendant didn’t give into the passengers rude behavior. This incident could have gone a completely different way. In this year alone, flight attendants have made headlines after getting into spats with unruly passengers. A passenger was kicked off of a Delta flight after getting belligerent about sitting near an eight-month-old baby. Demanding another seat and causing a scene, a flight attendant politely told the woman she could take the next flight.

Comments under the viral image have been praising the flight attendant’s smart thinking. One wrote, ‘That’s really clever,’ while another said, ‘Great thinking by the attendant.’ One wise guy said,  ‘How lucky he must be to be gifted with a such a unique scenery.’
