Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash Weekend
June 15th
Chart-topping rapper Megan Thee Stallion is bringing out all the hotties at the Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash this year. Birthday Bash Weekend is one of the biggest, most turnt weekends in the city of Atlanta. Expect live performances from Da Baby, Lloyd, Quality Control’s Lil Baby, City Girls, Lil Yachty, Migos and others at the all-new State Farm Arena. Also check out Jacquees’ performance during the Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash Block Party. Proceeds from the summer ticket raffle will go towards supporting breast cancer.

Don’t forget your chairs and blankets when you hit up Jazz Matters for an evening of BBQ, jazz music and live musical performances from Chandra Currelley, percussionists Yonrcico Scott and other artists. This is the 4th annual concert series, highlighting the diversity and cultural roots of Jazz music and how it’s influenced other genres. Rain or shine, you’ll want to be there. Lawn Seating is available for $25.

Sponsored by McDonald’s, enjoy the Black and Positively Golden inspirational sounds of gospel gems Kierra Sheard, Sir the Baptist, Tye Tribbett, and vocal powerhouse KeKe Wyatt. Entry is free but tickets are required for the first come, first served event. This tour raises money to support local families with aid for their children. Whether you eat McDonald’s or not, you can’t deny the gospel.

Celebrate the best in music and art in Atlanta at the annual Rose Bowl concert hosted by Young Money’s Shanell. Performers include Algebra Blesset, Sonya Williams, J Alston, and vibes by native DJ E-Boogie and special guests Musiq Soulchild and Nivea.
The Haile Selassie I Roots Reggae Festival

It’s a Caribbean celebration for Georgia’s 5th annual celebration of the birth of Emperor Haile Selassie. The festival encourages solidarity amongst Afro-Caribbean cultures and reggae music with live performances, a variety of food selections, and a vendor marketplace.

For those having Carnival withdrawals or newbie Carnival lovers like myself, gear up and play mas for one of the biggest celebrations of international culture, music, people, and food in Atlanta. I can’t lie the lineup is pretty amazing; Dancehall star Konshens, Imani Ray, Olatunji, and Verse Simmonds are all performing. The show will be hosted by “the fly Haitian kid” DJ Kash.
August 17-18
Chastain Park
Regarded as one of the top festivals in the nation held in Atlanta’s largest park. This arts festival is dedicated to supporting the arts, hosting work from almost 250 painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, and other craftsmen. Healthy food and beverage options, live music and kid-friendly play areas.
