It’s a new year and a new decade. Time to set your sights high. If you are revamping that travel bucket list come January 1, here are a few fascinating adventures you should consider.

Kenya

Enjoy the ease of the new direct flights from New York to Nairobi on Kenya Airways. Once you’re there, you will find no shortage of adventure and stunning scenic views. Visit the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the lush grasslands at the foot of Mount Kenya. The Fairmont Mara Safari Club, a luxury Maasai Mara resort hotel in Kenya, re-opened in 2009 following an extensive renovation program and is surrounded on three sides by the breathtaking Mara River, and on the edge of the world’s Seventh “New” Wonder of the World – the Maasai Mara.

Ecuador

The Galapagos Islands is one of the most fascinating locations in the world. Thanks to strict conservation efforts on behalf of the government and eco-conscious locals, the islands remain an underdeveloped slice of paradise. Expect close encounters with sea lions, sharks, dolphins, birds, and more as you explore the highest mountain and the largest ocean in the world.

Peru

Taking the trek from Machu Picchu to Rainbow Mountain is the adventure of a lifetime. The Ausangate Lodge Trek – Machu Picchu to Rainbow Mountain launched earlier this year, in 2019, and 2020 will be its first full year of scheduled departures from April to October. The trek weaves through the Andes, Cusco, and the Sacred Valley. You will also hike the Inca Trail through the Sun Gate to Machu Picchu, and pass through glacial valleys and red lagoons on your way to Rainbow Mountain.

Brazil

As of 2019, Brazil no longer requires a Visa for Americans to enter the country, making it easier than ever to plan a trip. Manaus, the capital of Amazonas, can be visited without having to go deep into the Amazon. However, if you are interested in venturing into the greatest rainforest on earth. you can cruise up Rio Negro on a guided tour aboard the Tucano. The Tucano Experience is unlike any other in all of the Amazon, going further and deeper into the rainforest than any other cruise vessel.
