City Escape In Seoul, South Korea

South Korea is often overlooked by Japan but South Korea’s capital city delivers in terms of culture and food.

If nothing else, a trip to South Korea’s famous Myeongdong Night Market is a must. With over 200 vendors, the outdoor street market is the biggest food market in Seoul.

According to Travel + Leisure, Guatemala’s Casa Palopó hotel is perfect for solo travelers who want the best of both worlds of culture and adventure.

There are seven spacious rooms that uniquely decorated inside Casa Palopó that showcases contemporary and indigenous Guatemalan artwork to evoke the country’s heritage.

Situated in the Andes Mountains above the Urubamba River valley, Machu Picchu is a cultural and natural area inscribed on Unesco’s World Heritage List.

This Incan city of sparkling granite is thought by scholars to have been a sacred archaeological center for the nearby Incan capital of Cusco.

Enjoy Island Life on Malta

If you’re looking for a solo escape to Mediterranean waters, Travel + Leisure recommends skipping Mykonos and head to Malta instead.
