Keeping up with the rules for where you are permitted to travel can seem like a task. This week, the European Union is opening its borders to 15 countries. For now, we know that if you’re a traveler from the United States, Brazil, or Russia, where COVID-19 cases are extreme, you are barred from entering the EU. For travelers coming from other countries, or for updates on the ever-changing restrictions, the European Union has created a new app that will make it easier to give you the most up-to-date information.

The app is called Re-Open EU and it gives travelers real-time information about COVID-19 restrictions in each of the 27 member countries.

Included in the app are border rules, health and safety efforts required by each country, health certificate requirements, and what services and activities will be open upon arrival.

According to the app’s website, “This interactive tool provides you with the information that you need to confidently plan your European travel and holidays while staying healthy and safe. The information is frequently updated and available in 24 languages for your convenience.”

The app is available on both iPhone or Android platforms or via the EU website.
