It makes the cut for quite a few reasons because, as an early flight kinda girl, those 6 a.m. departures can be a pure struggle. However, finding this go-to one-piece wonder makes life so much easier. There’s no mixing or matching and no zippers or buttons. The material of the R.Vivimos dress is 100 percent cotton, so it’s breathable and feels good against the skin. Also, the longer length and sleeves provide a bit of coverage and warmth on the plane.
It’s a pretty simple design, but details like the balloon sleeves, adorable bow tie in the back, and tiered ruffles give the dress a trendy cottage-core vibe. Sometimes that warm, comfortable outfit on the plane (leggings or sweatpants) can feel absolutely stifling when you arrive at your warm-weather destination. But with this dress, you can go from the airport to the poolside while maintaining your cool.
Also, as a travel writer, itineraries can be pretty tight, so it’s not uncommon to have little, if any time, to get from the airport to lunch or a group tour. This off-shoulder midi dress makes it look like you actually took the time to put yourself together, even if you didn’t. The top of the sleeves has elastic in them, so the dress can actually be worn off the shoulder, which looks great with a chunky necklace or some bold earrings.

Though its laundry instructions specify the dress should only be hand washed, an at-home washing machine has worked well for a little over two years. The cotton material dries well, there’s no piling, and even when the dress is packed tightly away in a compression cube, it’s still wrinkle-free.
