Each experience is specially tailored to give fans access to a world they never dreamed they would get to enter.
There is a randomized drawing for who gets to stay at the Icon accommodations. After Airbnb users request to book the experiences on select dates and answer why they want to go, the team at Airbnb reviews responses. After identifying the potential guests with the most unique connections to the icon, select users will be invited to book their experience. Some Icon listings have a booking fee of $0. However, the only way to complete a booking is through this special promotion.
11 Icons That Have Been Unveiled So Far
Drifting off in the “Up” house and making core memories with “Inside Out 2” are among the more whimsical experiences that the new Icon category offers. The “Up” house is an experience that brings the world from the film “Up” to life. The stay is located in Abiquiu, New Mexico. The “Inside Out 2” experience allows guests to jump into Team Riley Headquarters. Guests will work in tandem with Joy, the smiley host of the experience.
Other options feature several celebrities that Airbnb users may recognize. Going VIP with Kevin Hart, on tour with Colombian artist Feid, or joining a living room session with Doja Cat are some of the celebrity-centered experiences. The Kevin Hart experience takes guests inside his exclusive Coramino Live Lounge. This is where they can enjoy a tequila tasting and stand-up comedy. Fied, the reggaeton star, welcomes guests to his world tour. Get VIP access to performances, backstage, and sacred tour traditions. Doja Cat’s experience promises to be an intimate performance from the artist. Doja is coming from her European tour and viral Coachella performance. The artist wants to perform some of her favorite songs for the guests of this experience.
More Unique Icon Experiences
Guests can also live like Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor, game with Khaby Lame, or stay in Prince’s Purple Rain house. Janhvi is inviting guests to her private family home in Chennai, India. The overnight stay will be an intimate and exciting opportunity to get to know the star. Things like Janhvi’s beauty secrets and favorite dishes can be discovered. The famous TikToker Khaby invites guests to his hometown in Milan, Italy for a gaming experience. The overnight stay is located in a gaming loft designed by him. Gaming guests will rave at all his collections, games, and delicious pizza. Prince’s Purple Rain house is, for the first time, also available to the public. The Minnesota home featured in the film “Purple Rain” has Prince’s keepsakes, his bedroom, and rockstar tunes for guests to enjoy.
Some Icons are based on beloved places and provide detailed and interactive experiences. For example, in this first rollout, Airbnb has announced a few other Icons. These include spending the night in the Ferrari Museum, stepping into X-Men ‘97, and waking up in the Musée d’Orsay listings. From decorative Ferrari accents to private tours, an exclusive ride on the Pista di Fiorano, and dinner at a renowned restaurant, this booking is sure to make guests feel invigorated.
The X-Men mansion in New York brings guests to a throwback version of Xavier’s Institute for Higher Learning from the animated series.
