For many women, they are the juggling families, excelling in their careers and starting businesses all while keeping it cute. With so much going on, sometimes it’s necessary to take some time to reset and recharge.

That’s one of the main reason, according to the experts, that women-only wellness retreats are becoming one of the hottest trends in travel this year.

While the retreats weren’t initially created to only include women, its just the way things have formed.

These retreats promise one thing, to leave your cares (and kids, if you have them) at home and solely focus on your health and well-being. This idea has drawn in women from all around the globe.

As our good sis Beyonce said: “Boy you know you love it how we smart enough to make the millions, strong enough to bear the children, then get back to business.”

In order for us to live up to this, we need to take time for ourselves.

SuperShe, a women-only retreat startup that combines networking and wellness, recently bought a Finnish Island to further help their guests disconnect from life’s stresses. “Sometimes it helps to be at the end of the world to feel like you are removed from everything,” said Kristina Roth, founder of SuperShe.

Another plus to these retreats, is that they allow women to connect with others just like them and form new bonds with other women who experience similar circumstances.

In addition to general wellness retreats, it seems that adventure travel for women is on the rise too.

For many female travelers, taking part in an adventurous activity alongside other women can create a special bond, best shared over a bonfire with a beer in hand.

“Conversations tend to be more open and vulnerable, and empowerment creates a landscape of growth and friendship,” said Becky Marcelliano, outdoor marketing manager for adventure brand Salomon.
