Traveling can have a variety of impacts on your life. For Dylan and Dixon Parker of Detroit, Michigan, it was the beginning of a journey that they hope will impact the world. For the last year and a half, the brothers have been pushing their t-shirt brand and non-profit, Blessed World Wide.  Their mission is simple: Feed and clothe as many people as they possibly can around the world.

Dylan, who worked with an airline company, took advantage of his flight privileges, visiting 25 countries in less than a year. He fell in love with travel which further fueled his mission to make an impact.

“I was inspired by seeing so many less fortunate people in the places I was traveling to,” he tells Travel Noire. “I really gained perspective on how blessed I was to be able to get on a plane, to have clean clothes, and to have a full stomach.”

Blessed World Wide has put on charitable events in Trinidad, Korea, and Detroit, where they will be having their second major event on Saturday, September 28, 2019. They plan to donate food and clothes to over 100 of the city’s homeless population.

The event will be held at the Rosa Parks Transit Station from 8 AM to 1 PM. For anyone in the area or who wants to help the Blessed mission,  Dylan and Dixon have this message:

“We cannot do this alone, so to encourage generous donations we are giving away a limited amount of Airbnb vouchers. Until we run out, we will be giving them away to anyone who heads over to www.blessedworldwide.com/savelives and donates to receive their free Airbnb voucher. To encourage black travel, one lucky person who donates will receive a free delta airlines gift card as well!”
