Thailand is one of Southeast Asia’s most beautiful countries. Despite the current climate surrounding immigrants, you cannot deny the nation’s travel gems. The Tourism Authority of Thailand along with Dreamjobbing recently announced that they are in search of one person to come and live in Thailand like a local.

The lucky person will be expected to live life as a true Thai local while traveling around the country. A documentary will be filmed starting in January 2019 and the contest winner will be the main focus of the film. They will travel around in hopes of highlighting some hidden gems and experiences that may go unnoticed otherwise.

In order to make the cut, you need to be someone who has “an adventurous spirit” and is ready for this type of experience. The Thailand Tourism Authority will cover your airfare to and from Thailand, pay for all of your expenses while in the country, and provide a per diem allowance.

If you think this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for, then all you have to do is upload a 60-second video explaining who you are and why you’re the perfect person to be The Local Traveler in Thailand. These are literally the only requirements needed to be considered for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. The company will be casting on a rolling basis until the perfect person is found. The documentary will air  in late 2019.

You can head to Dreamjobbing’s website to get additional contest rules and details. If you are a little weary of this particular opportunity, you can find other unique traveling gigs on the website too. They feature everything from cycling around Africa to cloud surfing in Wyoming.
