Believe it or not, it’s almost been a year since Americans have been banned from traveling to certain destinations because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As 2020 comes to a close, many Americans are itching to travel again and wondering where exactly can we travel?

Although our neighbor Canada still has a travel ban in place, Mexico allows Americans in and requires no test nor quarantine period for travelers entering the country by air.

If you’re anticipating 2021 travel, here’s where Americans are allowed to visit:

You won’t need a test to enter Albania but you may have to go through health screenings and wear face masks when indoors and on public transportation. There are no straight flights to Albania from the U.S., so you’ll have to look for connecting flights when booking travel.

You’ll have to wear face masks when in Brazil and will have to have proof of health insurance before arriving. The health insurance must be valid for the duration of your time in Brazil and must have a minimum coverage of about $5,314.

Although you won’t need to show a negative COVID-19 test to visit Colombia, you’ll be required to complete an immigration form upon arrival.

You won’t be required to show a negative test result when arriving in Costa Rica, but you will need to complete a health pass form and show proof of health insurance.

You may or may not have to take a COVID-19 rapid test and temperature check upon arrival, which is conducted on random passengers. There is a curfew from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekends that travelers must adhere to.

Kosovo is open to all travelers and has a curfew on restaurants from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

You can’t cross the Mexican border by car, but you can head there via air travel. There are no COVID-19 testing requirements and you won’t have to quarantine.

Travelers won’t have to show negative test results but may be subject to a health screening upon arrival

While you won’t have to submit test results when traveling to Serbia, you will be required to wear a face mask when in indoor public spaces.

There are no quarantine requirements for those traveling to Tanzania but you may be asked to show negative COVID-19 test results.

You won’t have to show a negative test or quarantine when traveling to Turkey as long as you don’t show any symptoms of COVID-19.
