If one thing is clear, it’s that listening to Samuel L. Jackson swear has become a satisfying activity.  And it’s something that Jackson himself is aware of because he has used his swearing skills to persuade people to vote in the 2020 election.

In an effort to improve voter turnout this November,  Jackson has promised to teach 2,500 people how to swear in 15 languages if they register to vote.

The voting action is a partnership with campaigning site Global Citizen.  The only thing visitors have to do is click the site then follow the prompts to register to vote online. Once registered, users can check their voting status, and find out how and where to vote in the U.S.

For someone with Jackson’s reach, getting 2,500 people to register to vote wasn’t a hard threshold. A representative from Headcount told Thrillist that Jackson’s campaign prompted 8,060 people to take action.

It remains unclear if Jackson’s free masterclass in swearing will be accessible to only the first 2,500 people who participate in his challenge.
