How far are you willing for some handmade California rolls? What about some shrimp tempura?

If the answer is anywhere, start booking your flight to Milan, Italy to visit This Is Not a Sushi Bar. In a city famous for its fashion, art, and Italian food, this unique sushi spot is drawing hundreds of visitors, and not just to eat.

While eating here, customers can get the ‘influencer’ treatment. Since the influencer market is booming as these days, social media influencers on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook are constantly getting free stuff just for making an appearance at a business or agreeing to use certain products. This sushi spot is no different. They want to get the word out so badly that they are excepting pictures on Instagram as payment. Owner Matteo Pittarell wants to attract millennials as patrons and create “2.0 word-of-mouth that could make our brand strong and viral.”

For a deal this sweet, you know there has to be a catch. Customers that want to gain from this offer must have at least 100,000 followers on Instagram and your post has to include a restaurant hashtag. Italian fashion blogger Clizia Incorvaia had a free sushi lunch on Tuesday courtesy of her 200,000 Instagram followers. “We tasted everything from gunkan to tartare, and I have to say it is all really good,” Incorvaia said.

Although this is the sixth restaurant “This Is Not a Sushi Bar” has opened in Milan, it is the only one accepting photos as payments.
