Nothing says vacation like an island getaway! Blue water, white sand, and a nice breeze are always key when planning your next trip.

Delta Airlines has just dropped prices on a few of its nonstop routes from New York’s JFK Airport into St. Thomas. The lowest price found is only $296.

This deal is valid for travel from late July through most of September. To find your seat on this flight, head to your favorite travel search engine such as Skyscanner. Filter to the months that are included within the deal. (July- September) The search matrix will then pull all date combinations within each month. Dates listed in green are the lowest prices available at the time of your search.

There will be multiple websites that offer this flight. Some may differ on this price. You can simply choose the site that you are most comfortable using or you can use the one that lists the lowest price. As always, use your discretion when booking on any site, although Skyscanner’s searches are normally pretty legit.

Saint Thomas is said to be the cosmopolitan hub of the U.S.V.I. with far more than a day’s worth of activities to participate in. The island is most known for its gorgeous beaches and snorkeling.

Magens Bay is the most popular beach and hosts the largest crowds. If you are looking for a spot with fewer people, try Coki, Sapphire, or Morningstar Beaches.

Looking for something a little more active? Visit Charlotte Amalie, which is known for its streets made of steps. Dozens of step streets cut through nearly all the hills rising from the Charlotte Amalie harbor area; the 99 steps are the most popular. The picturesque stairway has colorful flowers on either side making it an easy choice for a photo.

Finally, to get a fantastic view of the island from above, head to the world famous Mountain Top. Located on the highest point of Saint Thomas, Mountain Top will give stunning panoramic views of Magens Bay, Saint John, and the British Virgin Islands from its observation deck. Mountain Top is best known for its world-famous banana daiquiri.

It is very easy to hop over to one of the other islands as well. You can get there by water taxi, seaplane, or helicopter. Why not make the most of your trip?
