Disneyland is probably best known as The Happiest Place on Earth. When Walt Disney created the iconic park over 63 years ago, however, he never envisioned alcohol to be sold at the park. In fact, he wanted to preserve the innocence of the brand by keeping it wholesome, and alcohol-free.

However, Disney’s vision will change in the summer of 2019. Disneyland will begin selling alcohol to the general public at Oga’s Cantina, which will be located in the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction. Oga’s Cantina is a rough establishment that attracts some of the most interesting, yet unsavory characters in the galaxy. The Cantina will feature “famous concoctions created with exotic ingredients using ‘otherworldly’ methods, served in unique vessels,” Disneyland said in a statement. Kids’ drinks will be available, too.

Disneyland is one of the latest parks to join in on the sale of alcohol. Alcohol is said to be a big money maker at other locations, including the nearby park, California Adventure. Currently, you can only be sold alcohol at the “enigmatic and private” Club 33.

Disneyland Park, originally Disneyland, was the first of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It is the only theme park designed and built to completion under the direct supervision of Walt Disney, and it opened on July 17, 1955.

Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement parks with his daughters in the 1930s and 1940s. He initially envisioned building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon realized that the proposed site was too small. After hiring a consultant to help him determine an appropriate location for his project, Disney bought a 160-acre site near Anaheim in 1953. Construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled during a special televised press event on the ABC Television Network on July 17, 1955.
