The nooner is back! If you are bored with roses and overpriced chocolates, Hotel Zed in British Columbia is offering a very non-traditional special to spice things up.

Hotel Zed is proud to be bringing “the nooner back” this Valentine’s Day. The hotel, with locations in Victoria and Kelowna, is offering a four-hour “nooner” special on February 14, which it has done for the past five years. Couples can check-in from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (rates start at $59 CAD) for a little afternoon delight.

If that doesn’t feel unconventional enough for you, things start to get a little stranger with their ‘baby maker special’. According to the website, if you book a nooner this Valentine’s Day and welcome a baby into your family nine months later, they will give you a free Valentine’s Day stay at Hotel Zed for the next 18 years.

The hotel proudly does not discriminate when it comes to bringing a new person into the world, saying, “As a proud Pride at Work partner, Hotel Zed welcomes everyone to participate in the Baby Maker Nooner promotion regardless of gender expression, gender identity and sexual orientation. We know that the stork can take many routes to bring a baby into your family. As long as a new child has been welcomed into the family nine months after your nooner, we’ll be celebrating with you!”

For those not familiar, Hotel Zeds declare themselves “rebels against the ordinary”, with “ridiculously fun, unpretentious hotels” across British Columbia, Canada. They have comics books in every room, retro-chic amenities like vinyl listening stations, typewriter stations, board games and rotary dial phones, plus a bunch of other great stuff.

Whether you are there to make a baby, enjoy the nooner special, or just play ping pong in the lounge, you can expect a totally unordinary experience.
