If you can’t visit Atlanta right now,  there’s a way you can taste your way around the city and it doesn’t involve much movement from your home.

Unexpected Atlanta, a tour company, has launched the ATL Food Tour Box that delivers the city’s food, history, and culture directly to your door.

The box combines six staples from four local food entrepreneurs, a 1.5-hour video from a chef, and a cooking demonstration.

“This is not just any old dinner,” a statement on the website reads. “Just like our traditional food tours, named National Geographic’s top tour in Atlanta and one of the 50 best day tours in the world by the Sydney Morning Herald, this is a 1.5-hour experience that shares the love of our city and its incredible people.”

Each box contains six servings, enough for dinner for six people or 3 dinners for 2 people, depending on how many you’re social distancing with.  There are also options for vegetarians and gluten-free guests.

“I’ve always wished I could taste the foods being prepared on my favorite cooking shows,” Akila McConnell, Unexpected Atlanta’s owner, told Forbes. “We can do that with this Food Tour Box by creating a delicious and immersive experience that people can enjoy at home. Most of the food is prepared and just needs to be popped in the oven and the one historic recipe is super easy and a perfect introduction to historic Southern cooking.”

In addition to supporting five local small businesses, including three female minority-owned businesses, the ATL Food Tour Box reportedly donates a portion of its proceeds to The Giving Kitchen.

And it doesn’t stop there.  As a bonus for purchasing, the company also includes $160 worth of non-expiring gift certificates to the top three tour companies in the city of Atlanta.
