While social media and influencer pages would lead us to believe that black people don’t participate in adventure travel, we know that’s just not true. We’ve found some of the best black and brown adventure travelers out there. Check them out.

Laura Edmonson

As the founder of @browngirlsclimb, Laura is the advocate for showing black and brown girls the way in rock climbing. The organization often has meetups for women of color to learn the ropes when it comes to the sport. This brown girl shows us that girls do it better, and they look good while doing it too!

Brandon Johnson

We’ve featured this skydiving instructor before, but he is showing the world that black men (and women) can enjoy going to the extreme too. Brandon currently works as a tandem instructor at Skydive Dubai in addition to being a professional jumper. His Instagram is full of cool photos from up in the sky.
