Melanated Campout at the Atlanta Motor Speedway is back for its second year. The event brings together the thrill of NASCAR racing with the joy of a camping adventure. As attendees of this special event, families can witness the excitement of the Ambetter Health 400 race by day while enjoying an immersive camping experience within the Speedway’s infield at night.

The meetup promises a family-friendly environment in which attendees of all ages can feel welcomed and comfortable. Families can enjoy being close to the action of the race alongside a community of other NASCAR-loving Black families. There will be a meet and greet to allow everyone to get acquainted, as well as fun kids activities.

Melanated Campout at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia is taking place February 23-25, 2024. Attendees can book their choice of a Flock Brothers dry RV campsite or dry tent/pop-up campsite. The campground has showers and restrooms on-site.

The organization is currently offering an exclusive deal in which participants will receive two free Infield Access Wristbands for the entire weekend with each campsite purchase. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from each campsite booking will go toward donations to the Melanated Cares Foundation.

Melanated Campout was created in 2018 by three friends who wanted to inspire more people of color to get outdoors and enjoy camping and nature. Since then, the organization has welcomed over 1,350 participants. Along with its camping excursions, some of the activities it hosts for community members include fishing, yoga, and line dancing.
