From the outside, the Jabbrrbox appears to be a vending machine. On the inside, however, it’s a private office in the airport that allows workaholics to work remotely.

Inside, travelers will find a desk, WiFi, charging outlets and a place that’s quiet to work.

The “mini offices,” which recently launched inside the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), are targeted toward business travelers who want more privacy and comfort than the seats at the gate.

“Airports are typically noisy spaces for making important sales calls or completing a critical proposal,” said Brian Hackathorn, Jabbrrbox co-founder and CEO, in a news release announcing the launch at CVG. “Plus, with today’s mobile work demands, business doesn’t stop when you’re traveling. That’s why we designed Jabbrrbox to provide mobile workers with a quiet, comfortable place to work with access to Wi-Fi and USB charging.”

Two Jabbrrboxes will be located in Concourse B at CVG where a number of busy business travelers are flying on Delta and American Airlines.

The decision to launch the offices in CVG comes after the airport was recently named the fastest growing airport in the U.S., as reported in Aviation Pros. CVG served more than 8 million passengers in 2018, an increase of 1 million passengers in 2017.

“With such a strong corporate footprint in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region, we’re always looking for ways to provide business travelers the best services to address their needs,” said Candace McGraw, CEO, CVG. “We’re excited to offer the Jabbrrbox units to our passengers to provide them with a quiet, productive place to work.”

In addition to the two Jabbrrbox offices at CVG between gates B9 and B10, there are seven Jabbrrboxes at LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B and another two units at the Pittsburgh International Airport.

There are plans to expand Jabbrrbox. Officials have called for people to vote on what city they should come to next on its website.
