Take the 2.5-hour trip and visit this ancient archaeological site, once considered the center of the world in Greek mythology. Explore the Temple of Apollo and the ancient theatre.
Located in Cape Sounion, which is 1.5 hours away from Athens, the stunning Temple of Poseidon is perched on a cliff with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. It's especially beautiful at sunset.
Visitors can take a 1.5 hour ferry trip to get to Hydra Island and enjoy a picturesque car-free island with charming cobblestone streets, beautiful beaches and fantastic hiking trails.
Epidavros is famous for its ancient theatre, which is renowned for its acoustics and still hosts performances today.

Lake Vouliagmeni, located 30 minutes outside of Athens, is a natural thermal lake with crystal-clear waters. It’s perfect for swimming and relaxing, especially after exploring the city.
