We’re all feeling the effects of self-isolating due to COVID-19 and many travelers around the globe are missing their favorite pastime — seeing the world.

As a way to curb your travel blues, the St. Lucia Tourism Authority has come up with a way to allow the world to virtually travel to the island. 7 Minutes in Saint Lucia is a brand new social media series that airs twice per week on Instagram.

“By creating the ‘7 Minutes in Saint Lucia’ social media series, our aim is to virtually share Saint Lucian culture and natural beauty in an authentic way while people stay safe at home, to keep in touch with future visitors and our valued travel agents — hopefully providing a bright spot in their days“, said Honourable Minister of Tourism Dominic Fedee.

The series goes live on Tuesday and Thursday with a different episode featuring everything from yoga and meditation at the Pitons, a cocktail class with locally-produced Chairman’s Reserve Rum, and cooking authentic Saint Lucian dishes with Chef Shorne Benjamin.

Viewers will be able to virtually interact with the series by posting comments during the live stream and you can also give recommendations on what you would like to see next from the show.

The schedule of the next few episodes is below. To watch, simply head to the @travelsaintlucia Instagram page and click the live link at the appropriate time.
