Tips For Grabbing The Best Travel Deals On Black Friday And Cyber Monday
It’s that time of year. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just a few days away, offering some of the best deals of the year from flights to hotel packages. The options can feel overwhelming, and for many travelers looking to score the best deals, it’s often difficult to know where to start.
“The best advice I can give to navigate travel bargains is unromantic, but effective: Sign up for emails from online travel agencies and tourism boards,” said Devon Nagle to cnbnc.com, head of communications for Priceline. The travel site is promising to offer more than $2 million in travel deal email alerts and flash sales between November 29 to December 2.
With email alerts, you will be the first to know when the discounts begin, and you can always unsubscribe when December arrives to avoid the mailbox clutter.
If signing up for emails doesn’t suit you, the second-best way to stay in the know is to follow airlines on social media, especially Twitter. Deal announcements often come through social media multiple times a day and can offer the most up-to-date discounts.
It’s important to note cnbc.com reported that travel booking app Hopper analyzed its historical database of over 25 billion to 30 billion flight and hotel prices and found that last year more flights were discounted on Travel Deal Tuesday than on Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined.
Travel Deal Tuesday, an industry shopping event, could offer the best deals again this year, so don’t worry if you miss out on the Friday and Monday shopping events.
