The dating app Tinder has partnered with Thailand tourism leaders to play matchmaker through its “Single Journey” initiative. It’s a win-win scenario for those of you who are single, and the country’s tourism industry is trying to stimulate the economy after the coronavirus caused a decline.
“Tourism connects people, and some people might end up being lifetime partners,” said Thapanee Kiatphaibool, deputy governor for the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). “Tourists can also help support tourism and the economy during tough times.”
The Single Journeys campaign features nine tourism routes through various cities and towns, including Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Pattaya.
They are starting with three pilot trips: the first was a cruise along the Chao Phraya River, and the other two are a beachside party in Phuket and the Pa Sak Jolasid Dam in Lopburi scheduled for January 2021.
Bookings can be made through the Sneaksdeal website.
