The Grand Canyon is breathtakingly beautiful and definitely a landmark everyone should see at least once. The Colorado River carved out this amazing natural landmark and it took a thousand years to do so. Watching the sunrise over the canyon is an absolute dream.

You’ll have to visit the Yosemite National Park to visit the Half Dome and it’s completely worth it. You can either hike to the top or take in the surrounding views.

Built in the 1930s, this bridge was once known as being the longest suspension bridge on earth. The gate is 746 feet high and 8,981 feet long and a must-see!

Located in Key West, this buoy lets everyone who visits know that they only have “90 Miles to Cuba.”

This plantation is a National Historic Landmark and will give you a glimpse into the old traditions of the South’s past while reflecting and learning more about slavery.

Taos Pueblo is over a thousand years old and is inhabited by the Puebloan community. This manmade structure is made from water, earth, and straw and is a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Chimney Rock was once a landmark used by pioneers traveling on the Oregon Trail. It was a signal that while traveling west, the pioneers would be approaching the Rocky Mountains.

Head to Charleston to visit this famous military fort. Home to the where the first shots were fired in the Civil War, this site is ideal for those who love history. You will have to take a 30-minute ferry ride to access the fort.

Mount Rushmore is one of the most popular landmarks in the U.S. featuring a sculpture of past American presidents. The huge mountainous sculpture took fourteen years to complete and the president’s faces are about 60-feet high each.

Located in San Antonio, this is the famous site during Texas’ fight for independence. Today, the Alamo is an iconic Texan landmark.
