The destruction from Hurricane Ian has displaced not only homeowners but also pets in Florida. On Wednesday, 120 animals were flown out of Naples, Florida by the BISSELL Pet Foundation.

The Humane Society of Sarasota County and Naples loaded cats and dogs onto a flight to New York. Many of the shelters that were hit during the hurricane could no longer care for the animals. The plane leaving Florida was headed to New York in order to place the homeless pets in shelters along the northeast and east coast.
