This 6.4-mile roundtrip trail takes you behind the Hollywood sign and after gaining 1,050 feet of elevation, you’ll be treated to expansive views of the city. If you want to add on another Hollywood sight to your hike, take a trip to the nearby Bronson Cave, which is famous for being the entrance to the Batcave on the Batman TV series.

2. Hollyridge Trail

At 5.1 miles roundtrip, the Hollyridge Trail is a moderate trail for the active hiker. It’s a popular pick, so skip this one if you prefer a solitary trek. The hike offers scenic views of the Hollywood sign and is accessible year-round.

3. Burbank Peak Trail

Along with a gorgeous view of the Hollywood sign and a trail that takes you directly behind the giant lettering, Burbank Peak Trail features an array of wildflowers that bloom throughout spring and summer. It’s only 3 miles round trip and less crowded than the longer trails.

4. Innsdale Trail

This 4-mile round trip hike is great for all skill levels and gives you an intimate view of the Hollywood sign. Depending on the time of day and year, it’s a fairly secluded hike in Griffith Park that winds through residential neighborhoods.

This hike is best suited for adventurous hikers, as you’ll have to park or get dropped off on Lake Hollywood Drive and hike up a steep ridgeline to access the trail. The actual sign isn’t far and you’ll find yourself directly it, so this option is ideal for those who want to cross visiting the Hollywood sign off their bucket lists but don’t care as much about seeing it on the hike.
