Sun City Resort, located in the North West Province of South Africa, has received two awards at the annual World Travel Awards.
The World Travel Awards began in 1993 with the purpose of rewarding, acknowledging, and celebrating the travel tourism and hospitality industry. Being acknowledged at the World Travel Awards is the global hallmark of optimum quality — with many aspiring to be acknowledged.
Sun City Resort was awarded as Africa’s Leading Resort and Africa’s Leading Casino Resort for 2019, beating out top destinations on the African continent in both categories.
The Marketing Manager of Sun City, Thapelo Modise, says: “We are honored that Sun City has claimed awards in two categories in the regional World Travel Awards program. To still be recognized as amongst the best on the continent after 40 years is a source of tremendous pride.”
