In more good news on reopening in the Caribbean — Sandals Resorts in Barbados are now welcoming guests again.

Both of the all-inclusive resorts on the island, Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados, have reopened this week.

This comes after the popular resort brand aims to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adam Stewart, Deputy Chairman of Sandals Resorts International tells Caribbean Journal, “The pandemic has certainly impacted travel and tourism in unprecedented ways but as we continue to open more and more of our Luxury-Included resorts, our optimism for the future continues to grow stronger than ever before.”

Both of the resorts are located on the south coast of Barbados in the St Lawrence Gap neighborhood. Sandals Barbados has 290 rooms while Sandals Royal Barbados has 552 suites and is home to Sandals’ first rooftop pool and bar.

“Our valued guests are happy to be back on our beaches and our dedicated team members share that same sentiment of being so very happy to be back to work, doing what they love. After months of preparation, Sandals Royal Barbados and Sandals Barbados are officially open to welcome guests and of course, health and safety are top of mind,” shares Stewart.

Sandals’ has launched Platinum Protocols of Cleanliness to ensure that travelers remain safe and healthy while on the resort.
