PATRÓN And The NAACP Team Up For Free Concert Series Benefiting Black Businesses
This year has definitely been a year that major corporations and businesses are stepping up to invest and pour into Black-owned businesses and brands. Popular tequila brand, PATRÓN, recently teamed up with the NAACP for the More Than Tequila Music Series.
This free live virtual concert series was created to spotlight and celebrate Black artists while also raising funds to support “Backing the B.A.R.,” a custom initiative between Bacardi (PATRÓN’s parent company) & the NAACP, which provides grants to Black owned Accounts and Retailers providing the resources and education to aid in the critical work of ensuring racial equality in the bar and restaurant industry.

“PATRÓN is proud to support the communities that have supported us, and in this case, that means supporting our Black community by lifting up Black voices, amplifying up-and-coming musical talent and giving back to our Black-owned bars and restaurants through the More Than Tequila music series,” the brand said in a statement.
The second installment of the concert series will take place on Dec. 1 at 7 pm ET. Artist 6LACK will be the host and headliner for the IG live event. Viewers will also be able to watch performances by up-and-coming artists Mereba, Kitty Ca$h and BRS Kash.
Those tuning in can also donate directly to the NAACP Backing the B.A.R. fund, through a link pinned in the Instagram Live that will be available during the concert.
The concert will began at 7:00 pm EST via 6LACK’s Instagram page. PATRÓN will host a pre-show event via its IG page at 6:50pm ET, as well.
