While the whole world has been on lockdown and quarantine for months amid the Covid-19 pandemic, a new trend of “wish list wanderlust” has emerged, according to Airbnb.

In a recent survey, the popular vacation rental marketplace found that Americans are dreaming about the day when they can return to traveling safely.

The survey of 1,010 US adults commissioned by Airbnb and conducted by ClearPath Strategies last September, revealed that 36% of Americans admitted to daydreaming about traveling daily or more. Another 28% of adults working remotely shared that planning a future trip made them feel hopeful and 69% of adults said that daydreaming about traveling brought out positive emotions.

To help provide some travel inspo, Airbnb curated a list of their most wish-listed properties and some of their most booked online experiences across all 50 states in 2020.

Before you start plotting your next adventure, take a look at the accommodation options available. From a log cabin in Alaska to a Geodesic Dome in the woods of Connecticut or a Potato Hotel in Idaho, there’s something unique to suit every palate.

And while you’re still at home, observing the necessary protocols, find out what others have been occupying their time with in your state or around the country. Indulge in a cigar tasting from Miami’s Little Havana in Delaware or discover Italian spiced wines of the past with an archaeologist in South Carolina.
