In a move that is sure to upset travelers flying into Los Angeles International Airport, LAX has just announced that they intend to relocate rideshare and taxi’s once-convenient curbside pickup area. Instead, effective October 29th at 3 am, travelers arriving at LAX will have to take a shuttle bus to a designated lot to catch their ride.

It’s possible that this could be one of the many changes being made to LAX in an effort to streamline the ridesharing process as the city of Los Angeles prepares for the arrival of the 2028 Summer Olympics. Reportedly, the shuttle routes will be frequent and within walking distance from the airport.

Passengers being dropped off at LAX for departure will not be affected by this change and will continue to be allowed on the upper deck of the airport.
