Just days before the highly anticipated third installment of the Bad Boys trilogy hit theaters, actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence earned keys to the city of Miami and honorary police badges from the Miami Police Department.

Mayor Francis Suarez and Police Chief Jorge Colina presented the pair with their badges and declared January 12th Bad Boys For Life Day in Miami.

For over 25 years, the infamous Bad Boys have been tearing up the Miami Beach scene as cops on the silver screen. The trilogy series follows two detectives, Mike Lowery (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence), as they take on the biggest narcotics dealers in the city. There’s action, romance, and tons of laughs from these two comedy vets and it definitely makes for a great marathon during long flights.

Bad Boys for Life broke records on opening weekend, earning an estimated $68 million dollars and making it the #1 movie in the world.

What a way to make a comeback fellas!
