Alaska Airlines is in the holiday spirit and they’re encouraging passengers to do the same.

In the spirit of giving this season, Alaska Airlines has announced it will offer passengers wearing any kind of holiday sweater priority boarding on Dec. 20.

The one-day promotion is in honor of National Ugly Sweater Day.

And just in case you’re wondering, flight crews are participating as well with a special uniform. The company designed its own version of an ugly holiday sweater in dark blue and green.

Beyond the one-day promotion, Alaska Airlines is celebrating the holidays all December-long with festive décor, boarding music, and free holiday movies to help flyers have “a merry flight.”

“We know holiday travel can be stressful for some, which is why we’ve made sure flying with the ‘merrier carrier’ this time of year is an experience that brings nonstop joy to all our guests,” said Natalie Bowman, Alaska Airlines’ managing director of marketing and advertising. “We love going above and beyond to make your trip memorable; celebrating Ugly Sweater Day is just another way we’re making the holidays a priority.”

In addition, the airline has a festive holiday-themed planed named “the Snowplane” flying through the winter season and has holiday-inspired beverages and cocktails in Alaska Lounges.

But there’s more.

Alaska Airlines has partnered with Starbucks to give six lucky travelers a free tip to “iconic Starbucks” locations in Chicago, Costa Rica, Shanghai, and more.

Passengers can also earn 20 percent off flights booked before 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Dec. 13 by using the code “IFLYALASKA.”
