The age-old question of who controls the window when it’s between two rows caused some chaos on a recent flight. If you have to reach behind you, is it your window to control? What if you have to reach in front of you? Two adult men almost came to blows over this scenario.

In a clip that has since gone viral, one passenger is requesting that the window shade be put down, so he reaches behind him to lower the shade. The other passenger wants to shade up and re-opens it. The two go back and forth until a flight attendant is called before things escalated further.

It’s worth noting that the window shade was raised because the plane was descending. Window shades are encouraged to be open during takeoff and landing as a safety precaution. This allows both passengers and flight crew to be aware of emergency situations and act accordingly.
