Most of us will be getting that $1400 stimulus in our account this week, and if you are a traveler, you’re likely looking to put some of that money towards a nice vacation.

Rather than blow your entire deposit, this flight deal can help you save a little money to use as spending cash when you arrive.

Brazilian-based LATAM Airlines is currently showing flights from New York’s JFK airport to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for around $312 round trip. These are not direct flights and will include a 3-4 hour layover in São Paulo.

If you’d rather not stop for so long, you can go with American Airlines routes that are showing for around $371 roundtrip. These flights have short 1-2 hour layovers in Miami.

Brazil is currently open to American passport holders, and has been for some time. The country has seen higher COVID-19 case numbers, but things are beginning to drop as vaccines rollout.

You must complete a traveler’s health declaration as well as proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72-hours prior to your departure. According to the U.S. Embassy Brazil website, there are adequate testing centers around Brazil for those flying back to the United States. Keep in mind this test must be done within 72-hours of your return.
