Skyscanner has compiled a list of the cheapest flight from New York for 2019. Destinations to countries in the Caribbean are among the cheapest this May.

One of the best parts about a trip to the beautiful islands of the Caribbean in May is the weather. Summertime hasn’t hit yet, so temperatures range between the high 70s and lows 80s. That’s still the perfect weather to be comfortable during your excursions.

Another great thing about travel in May are the many festivals and concerts.

As a quieter month for travel, May is also a great time to find a bargain on hotel stays. Average prices to the Caribbean drop by at least $50 per night during this time of the year.

Here are some of the cheapest flight options from New York to the Caribbean in May:

Cayman Islands

According to Skyscanner, the cheapest time to fly the Caymans is coming up this May.  The cheapest flight leaves Newark Airport on May 11 on United. A nonstop, one-way flight to Grand Cayman is priced at $114.

Bahamas 

If you’ve been thinking about a trip to Nassau, then you want to book this trip to the Bahamas. A one-way flight leaves JFK Airport on May 9 for just $119 on Delta Airlines.

Puerto Rico

United Airlines has a flight on May 6 to Aguadilla for $120 one-way. This flight on United Airlines is a direct flight.

Columbia 

Spirit Airlines has a one-way flight to Bogota for $107 one-way on May 8. Keep in mind that this flight arrives in Colombia after midnight.

Barbados 

Probably one of the best deals leaving New York to the Caribbean is to Barbados. Flights to Bridgetown are nearly cut in half, according to Skyscanner.

The nonstop JetBlue flight leaves New Jersey on May 11 for just $107-one way.
