Flight Attendant Vows To Stay In Denver Until She Finds Her Missing Engagement Ring

A woman was expecting to start the new year on a good note, but things changed after she lost her engagement ring.

While on a layover at Denver International Airport, Alexis Anthony noticed that her stunning diamond ring had somehow slipped off her finger. Anthony, a flight attendant for Delta Airlines, remembered putting it on her finger in Puerto Rico. Her fiance proposed to her on Christmas Eve.

“It was the worst thing that possibly could have happened to us,” Anthony said. So she started to retrace her steps.

Anthony thinks that her engagement ring somehow went missing on Crew Shuttle Island outside of level 5 in the Denver airport. Taking her dilemma to the local news station, they tried to help her find it. The effort was unsuccessful, after going through more than 300 rings in the lost and found. She isn’t giving up hope. If you want something done, do it yourself. Anthony vows to return to Denver to search for the ring, promising not to leave until she finds it.

“I think all of our hearts go out to her and we’re all looking for the ring, and hopefully we will recover it,” a Denver International Airport spokesperson said.

Anthony hopes there are decent people in the world and that someone will turn it in like one attendant did earlier this year. A passenger on a United Airlines flight lost her engagement ring somewhere between New York and Jackson Hole. The passenger, Brit Morin, founder of Brit + Co, didn’t know it until she was on a flight from Newark to Denver, Colorado. Morin was surprised when her wedding rings were returned safe and sound after a gate attendant found them at Newark’s airport. They gave the jewelry and a handwritten note to one of their pilots scheduled to fly to San Francisco International Airport, where Morin lived.

“From day to day, I take pride in getting passengers from point A to point B safely and on time,” the note read. “Today, I’m happy to be able to be part of a team focused on making just one individual happy.”
