For many, seeing Disney shut down its parks worldwide was the sign that COVID-19 was serious. Now, after months of being closed, officials have set a re-opening date for the Florida park.

Disney World will open Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11. EPCOT and Hollywood Studios will follow four days later, with an opening of July 15.

Of course, the parks will open with several new protocols in place to ensure not only the safety of customers but also employees.

Among the new measures is the requirement for park employees and guests to wear face coverings before entering the gates. There will also be temperature screenings at entrance points as well.

All large events such as parades and firework displays will be canceled to prevent the gathering of large groups. Additionally, the park will reduce the number of people permitted to enter at one time.

You’ll want to have your debit and credit card handy or e-card services set up on your smartphones because there will be no cash payments, to avoid hand-to-hand contact.

Finally, look for increased hand sanitizing stations throughout the park.
