A few weekends ago, I found myself lost in NOLA..and boy, was it a delightful treat. I spent the day exploring the French Quarter, mesmerized by the architecture of this incredibly rich culture. Engulfed by the beauty of this sleepy southern belle, I stopped frequently, alternating between my DSLR and iPhone, to take pictures.

After walking through what seemed like endless corridors in the French Quarter, I headed back to my beautiful hotel, The Saint, a few blocks away. On the breakfast menu of the restaurant located downstairs was an item that I couldn’t easily pass up — encrusted french toast.

After my encounter with this hearty breakfast from Tempt, I marveled at the view of the main street from my room.

Most of the day was spent galavanting around the quarter and hopping in and out of small restaurants & shops. While it isn’t my first time in NOLA, it was my first time exploring the downtown area. After spending some time out, I made my way back to the hotel to spy on some of the Saint’s presidential suites. They were quite impressive.

From the hearty hellos to the mild feel of the French Quarter, I left NOLA wanting more. More food, more music and more culture. Although my day in New Orleans went by fast, I anticipate a return relatively soon.
