Want to try something from the world’s best cocktail menu? Well, hurry up because you don’t have much time left. London bar Dandelyan announced it will be officially closing for business next year.

Live the glamorous life in this venue with emerald city vibes, pink-esque seating and gold trimmings before its too late. The botany-inspired bar is located inside the Mondrian London Hotel at Sea Containers, near St. Paul’s Cathedral.

The announcement came from award-winning bartender and owner Ryan Chetiyawardana’s via an Instagram post.

“It feels fitting on our 4th birthday to kill off our now-eldest venue,” he says. “What makes this bar great is these people (and there’s more of them),” he said. “And fuck am I proud of what we’ve achieved together – World’s Best Menu (twice yo!), World’s Best Bar Team (duh) and WORLD’S BEST MO FUCKING BAR.”

Dandelyan won second place in last year’s World’s 50 Best Bars. It also won World’s Best Cocktail menu at the Spirit Awards in 2016 and 2018. Chetiyawardana was voted the World’s Best Bartender in 2015, known for his unique cocktail menus. He felt it was only right to “burn it down, start afresh and rise again as something brighter, shinier, and more fitting of where we’re (all) at now,” speaking of his team that helped put it together. No detail of what exactly his plans for the space are but they are expected to be “weird” from his post.

Other top bars on the list are located in Singapore, Hong Kong, Greece, and New York City. London dominated the top 10, securing four spots.
