Many countries are increasingly requiring travelers to present negative Covid-19 tests before getting on a flight. EmpowerDX is hoping to make that process more convenient.

The company has produced an FDA emergency use approved and airline approved at-home Covid-19 nasal PCR test kit. It is also CLIA certified and CAP accredited. 

The test is mailed directly to your location and once completed can be sent back to US-based labs for results delivered via a personalized online portal within 48-hours on weekdays. With the at-home COVID-19 nasal swab test, exposure to external elements can be limited, particularly medical centers where the virus might be present. 

Patient confidentiality and privacy are a priority for the company.

According to a spokesperson, “Every customer’s personal health information (PHI) is securely housed on EmpowerDX’s HIPAA-compliant portal. It’s encrypted from end-to-end, meaning that PHI and lab results can only be seen by the person who ordered a kit from EmpowerDX. If we are legally required by the state or federal government, we will report Covid-19 findings to the appropriate party per the law. Our Licensed Ordering Physician Network reviews and approves every nasal PCR order as this is required by law. They do not share PHI or results with anyone.” 

The test costs $99 and may be covered by insurance. HSA + FSA are gladly accepted.
