If travelers haven’t booked their Valentine’s Day plans by now, they may be stuck going the cliche flowers and chocolate route.
Luckily for travelers that like to plan ahead, Travel Advisor put together a list of romantic hotels from around the world where lovers can get their romance on after announcing the winners of the 2019 Travelers’ Choice awards. Over a year, the travel platform sought reviews, specifically from couples, to come up with the winners.
Out of all the hotels who won, here are the spots that we would love to spend a romantic weekend getaway in:
Hotel Emma
This beautiful hotel draws stares in San Antonio, Texas. With a 19th century theme, couples can experience a grand library, restaurant spa, and a gorgeous river walk. This hotel is a little on the pricey side so spend time there with someone really special. Rates start at close to $500 a night.
Ikos Oceania
Feel the breeze from your oceanfront hotel room at this luxury hotel. The Ikos Oceania in Nea Moudania, Greece is a breath of fresh air just by looking at the pictures. Some of the rooms even have a private garden. With rates starting at a $602 per night, guests can also book a cabana on the beach.

Lani’s Suites Deluxe
Travelers can call this a lover’s playground. Lani’s Suites Deluxe is an adults-only resort in one of the most romantic countries in the world, Spain. Romance is the name of the game at this hotel. Guests will wake up to gorgeous views in their waterfront suites and can also enjoy dinner on the beach. They even have a ‘romantic mood’ package where guests will receive champagne and strawberries upon arrival, a massage for two, and more.
The Desert Riveria Hotel
Spend a romantic weekend in the desert at this 60s style hotel in Palm Springs, California. The Desert Riviera Hotel has basic amenities fit for a relaxing getaway. Enjoy a nice dinner with your boo, feel the heat at their fire pits or take a cruise on some of the bikes they offer. This hotel is not as expensive as most, with rooms going for less than $300.
Kayakapi Premium Caves
Have you ever wanted to stay in a cave? Well, you should, especially when it looks like the Kayakapi Premium Caves in Cappadocia-Urgup, Turkey. Named one of the most luxurious hotels in the world, lovebirds can stay in their honeymoon suite that holds a pool inside. Stay in the sauna while sipping on the finest of wine and get the massage of your dreams. Pictures might make travelers think the rates start in the high $1000’s but that’s not even close. Book a room for $285 a night.
