The most wonderful time of the year has officially arrived and with it comes Starbucks’ iconic holiday cup. This year, having one of these cups comes with added perks, like boarding early with the cup in hand, on Alaska Airlines flights.

If you fly between November 7 and November 10, you’ll be able to reap the benefits of priority boarding and get on the plane before standard cabin passengers. You won’t, however, be able to board before first-class or special boarding passengers.

But that’s not all — once you’re on the plane, you may find Starbucks treats on your seat.

All you need is a hot or cold Starbucks drink in one of the holiday cups, including reusable ones, and you’ll be able to use the promotion.

And don’t worry if you drank the contents of the cup prior to boarding — empty holiday cups are accepted as well.

You should note that the holiday cups will not be available in the airports in Atlanta, Minneapolis-St. Paul or San Francisco because of their compostable cup pilot program. All is not lost though because they will have holiday cup sleeves that are accepted for the promotion.

Alaska Airlines is known for embracing the holidays with its celebration of National Ugly Holiday Sweater Day during the past two years, allowing passengers to board early if they were wearing an ugly Christmas sweater.

It’s looking like the start of a great holiday season.
