As Black travelers around the world make their way to Accra for the annual end-of-year pilgrimage, popular Black travel group, Haywire Weekend, is opening a much-needed pop-up club in the city, too.

With a slated opening of December 23, Club Haywire will be located in the heart of all the Accra action.

Ghana in December is a huge tourist attraction so, there will be a lot of people from the Black travel community out here. This will be the spot for us to connect,” Cassy Isabella of The Roaming Republic told Travel Noire.

The pop-up club is being built in only 10-days, yet, it will not lack in the over-the-top experience that Black travelers seek.

“There is an event planned each day, including a Roaming Republic x Haywire New Year’s event that no Black traveler wants to miss.”

According to the Haywire Weekend brand, there was a need for this type of experience in Ghana. As a group that has always pushed the envelope in travel, opening Club Haywire was the perfect way to take things next level.

“We wanted to take the amazing attributes Ghana already has: the energy the people bring, the joy that runs through everyone, and the fire that burns throughout the city, etc,” the brand said in a statement to Travel Noire.  “We felt these attributes each and every day during the Year of Return, so our goal was to bring our dynamic and over the top experience and mix it all in one. We are working with all the dopest local talent as well as talent from all over West Africa and UK to produce an incredible nightly experience coupled with remarkable DJs and travel brands like Roaming Republic from the USA that will be the cherry on top. Think of it as listening to Stonebwoy then hearing Future come on right after and dancing to ‘f up some commas.'”
