Here Are The Best Countries To Work In Remotely 2020
Making the decision to move and work abroad is a big deal, and with so many places to choose from, it can feel overwhelming to try to narrow down your choices. Thanks to the folks at Expat Insider, much of the research is already done for us. Looking at historical data from 2019, we are able to get a glimpse into the next decade with some guidance from expats around the globe.
According to cnbc.com, to compile its Working Abroad Index, global community InterNations gathered data from over 20,000 members across 187 countries to gauge where expats were most satisfied with their career prospects, economic outlook, job security, and work-life balance.

Based on the research, Vietnam was ranked the best country for expats to work, with 68% of expats reporting that they are happy with their career prospects and 71% of expats reporting that they are happy with their work-life balance.

Here are the top 10 countries from the list and the most impressive stats from each one:
1. Vietnam
- 74% are generally satisfied with their jobs
- 82% rate the state of the economy positively
- 71% are happy with their work-life balance
2. Czechia (the Czech Republic)
- 73% are generally satisfied with their jobs
- 84% rate the state of the economy positively
- 69% are happy with their work-life balance
3. Luxembourg
- 74% are generally satisfied with their jobs
- 96% rate the state of the economy positively
- 63% are happy with their work-life balance
4. Germany
- 69% are generally satisfied with their jobs
- 90% rate the state of the economy positively
- 67% are happy with their work-life balance

5. Netherlands
- 69% are generally satisfied with their jobs
- 89% rate the state of the economy positively
- 73% are happy with their work-life balance
6. Norway
- 64% are generally satisfied with their jobs
- 84% rate the state of the economy positively
- 71% are happy with their work-life balance
7. Estonia
- 67% are generally satisfied with their jobs
- 78% rate the state of the economy positively
